I think you probably have heard of seoul cafe hopping, if you got in contact with travelling to Seoul and what to do in Seoul south Korea. Seoul has a great coffee culture and it is amongst many of the favourite activities to do when going to Seoul. Mainly because of all the cute, aesthetic and creative cafes in Seoul. Those cafés are not like many others in other countries. The cafes in Seoul all look better, serve better-looking cafes and desserts and all fit a specific vibe depending on the café. Also perfect for taking cute pictures!
There are so many cafes in Seoul and you probably don´t need this post to find cute ones, but I tested so many of them during my time in Seoul and if you want specific recommendations that have been tested and tried before then this post is perfect for you!
In this post, I will give you the areas where it is best to go seoul cafe hopping and then also some of my personal favourite cafes in the area that you should try when visiting Seoul!
Apgujeong Area
When I spent my time abroad in Seoul, So my language Course I actually spent so much time in Apgujeong due to my school being located there as well. I spend a looot of time seoul cafe hopping in the Apgujeong Area. So here a my top picks of Cafes you have to try when spending some time near Apgujeong:
Dalmation Apgujeong
Actually so good. Breakfast at Dalmation is amazing and the whole house is so beautifully designed. Every table has those stunning-looking lamps that you may know from one film or two and the water fountain in the garden gives it such an idyllic vibe. Would recommend 100%. Would love to go back actually!
Mooni Apgujeong
Also one of my favourites in the whole of Seoul! It is located a bit further from the main street in Apgujeong but that shouldn´t keep you from going to this amazing café! If you love the pink girly vibe and royal aesthetic, then you have to try this café! There is so much space where you can sit and they have an unbelievable repertoire of desserts and mini cakes. One of the more gorgeous than the other one. I wanted to try all of them so bad. Also a good spot for taking amazing Instagram pictures!
Vesi the scone
I am actually not too sure if it is still open, but when I was in Seoul I found this cool-looking café by accident and fell in love. The door of the café is huge, to say the least, and inside it is also so cosy and beautifully decorated. I had the date scone and I really liked it, because normally all the dessert in Seoul is very sweet but this one was not and I liked that a lot.
Some more recommendations:
Cafè Dior Seoul
Mammamia
Camel Coffee Dosan
Milestone Coffee
Gangnam Area
Gangnam Area is usually really expensive and if you only have one certain day where you can coffee hop I wouldn´t recommend Gangnam due to its limited offers, but I still found a really good café in this area that I wanted to share.
Alver coffee
A great Study café, because they have a lot of space where you can sit. High ceilings and big windows where the light comes in so naturally while looking at trees and having your coffee and being productive is great there.
Some more recommendations:
Ab Café
Seoul Forest Area
One of the best areas to café hop and enjoy a relaxing afternoon in. All of those cafes are in just a few minutes’ reach next to Seoul forest. So after a quick stroll around the park, you can take a seat in one of those cosy cafes in the area.
Teddy´s oven
My absolute favourite café in Seoul that I have been to. Mostly because I thought the whole concept of the café was so sweet. I was just in love. Every drink, dessert and little business cards etc. were with teddys. Sweet little bears. I loved it so much. The dessert and my iced chocolate were just delicious. Nothing more to say.
If you go there please send me a picture!
Some more recommendations:
Rafre fruit
Vinyl seongsu
Loop
AtoB
Clementine
Atelier cafe
Ikseon-dong Hanok village area
This area is a must in my opinion to visit. The old houses with little streets and people walking around and enjoying a good iced coffee are a must when travelling to Seoul in my opinion. I think the area is so cute and it gives you a great insight into old Seoul.
Mil toast
I saw that all over YouTube before I came to Seoul and was not sure if that toast dessert was really good. But let me tell you. This was so good I was too stunned to speak. We should have ordered two for 4 people because we all loved it so much. The only down at this café is that everyone has to order a drink, but I do think it is fair for the café because the mil toast is a good dessert to share.
Some more recommendations:
Café high waist
Seoul coffee ikseon main
Rami scone
Nakwon
Bukchon area
Café layered
I loved the whole English vibe to the café and they also had such a huge selection of desserts like scones and cheesecakes. The owner of this café also has the cafés like café high waist and is very famous in Seoul. So there are a lot of locations around Seoul not just in the Bukchon area. This café is located directly when coming down from the bukchon hanok village back into the city so a perfect stop after visiting the hanok village. I have to be honest that I was not the biggest fan of the cakes and scones, because for me at least they were a bit too sweet.
London bagel museum
The waitlist is always so long. Every time we wanted to go everything was sold out or you had to wait for over two hours. Insane. Everyone in Seoul loves these bagels and the cream cheese. I also liked them but the bagel was really soft and sweet. Not crispy on the outside more like a soft bun. If that makes sense. It would not be my biggest recommendation, especially if you had great bagels before. But maybe not the biggest seoul cafe hopping spot though.
Some more recommendations:
Artist bakery
Café onion
Little butler
Donggyo area
Their coffee
Koriko café
Other
Burnt Seoul (Jongno Area)
STANDING OVATION for this café. If you like to watch Kdramas and maybe have watched Vincenzo then you have to go to this café. This is directly located next to the famous house of the Kdrama and when you are sitting in the café you have the perfect view of the Vincenzo house. I would totally recommend trying the green grape ade. I absolutely adored that one. Not too sweet and a bit sour! Loved it so much!
Nuldam Space
This café is famous for its letter that you can write to yourself and will get a year later whilst sipping on an ice cold americano. Such a fun activity to do alone or with a friend and it was even more fun to get this letter a year later in the mail!
Some more recommendations:
Foamies (jung-gu)
79 Founyard (Samil-daero)
Coffee and Cigarettes (Jung Area)
Sulbing (myeongdong) for bingsu

What’s adorable and also very impressive is that Emma doesn’t stay lost in the haze of her dreams; it won’t be long before the first opportunity appears, and she’ll be on her way to fulfill them.
